When go to the restroom, go there to have a bowel movement. Don't take any reading material in there, because that keeps you in there longer. Sitting in the bathroom, puts pressure on your rectum and anal veins and eventually weakens the vein walls. Excess sitting can also aggravate the hemorhoids you already have. So, you don't want to sit there longer than needed.
